With the current rate of retiring construction workers set to rise to 22% for the workforce over 50s and 15% for over 60s, the industry could be facing an impending skills-gap. Currently there is only around 10% of construction workers between the ages of 19-24, which could be improved if more new construction professionals are willing to apply for a blue CSCS skilled worker card.
